Think-Tank Group

Think-Tank Group

Think-tank group was initiated in the 1st meeting of POSITIVe COST Action in Belgrade (March 2015) with the aim to promote an extensive exchange of knowledge and know-how between the Early Career Investigators involved within the action, and to propose new ideas and concepts for advancing the Action.

Activities

1. Project

A subgroup of the Think-Tank group is currently developing the project about ‘How to Report Interindividual Variability in Publications’ whose purpose is to establish a quality index to evaluate the interindividual variability reporting in scientific papers. The main goal of this project is to evaluate dietary intervention studies dealing with plant food bioactives in reference to the quality of the inter-individual variability data reported, not only in terms of cardiometabolic endpoints (WG2) but also in terms of bioavailability (WG1).

This goal will be obtained through two main interrelated tasks:

  • the establishment of a quality index to express inter-individual variability in response to plant food bioactives;
  • to propose suggestions/recommendations for how to report data concerning inter-individual variability.

In addition, this project carried out by Think-tank group (‘How to Report Interindividual Variability in Publications’) will be of great interest for the community assessing the responses to plant bioactive consumption to better understand the role of plant bioactive in human health.

2. Meetings

3rd Face-To-Face Meeting

Olstzyn (Poland), February 2017

2nd Face-To-Face Meeting

TTG Bucharest 2016

1st Face-To-Face Meeting

Belgrade (Serbia), March 2015

TTG organises an online meeting once a month (last Thursday, from 12:00 to 13:00). This meeting is composed by a "Get to Know session" that gives the opportunity to ECIs involved within the Action to present their research, and by a part of discussion about the ongoing project lead by the group.

To participate to this meeting, please contact the ECIs representative to receive an invitiation to join the webinar.
